Cant angle – an incorrectly set cant angle can result in several problems.

Cant angle too sharp

A too sharp set cant angle reduces the lifetime of the knife, increases the risk of breakouts especially on carbide knives and increases the speed loss between upper and bottom knife.

  • Reduce cant angle, max. 0,5°, on carbide knives ≤0,25°

Assist:
A bevel box is suitable for inspecting the cant angle or a cutting test via a paper strip or adhesive foil (cling film).
