Problems during bookbinding are often caused by dust, dirt deposits or tooth breakouts at the milling tool.
To counteract these issues, we recommend regularly grinding the milling heads or segments. They can also be changed timely. Soldered milling heads demand a lot of time and money to do so. TKM’s screwed milling heads reduce these time and costs. If a breakout should occur, single heads can be changed. Alternatively, we recommend the switch to hardmetall single-use segments. Their advantage is the omission of regrinding and machine setting.
Please always take the maintenance of your bottom knife or counter knife seriously. They ensure a smooth operation.
