The correct contact pressure
- Contact pressure is too high:
If the contact pressure is too high, there is a possibility to press the cant angle towards zero, furthermore it leads to a higher wear and eventually a further loss of speed of the anvil in comparison to the slitter. - Contact pressure is too low:
With too low contact pressure, the slitter may not be driven at all.
- Adjust contact pressure
Recommendation:
One manometer per knife holder
