Tooth damage caused by incorrect feed

Tooth damage caused by incorrect feed

An incorrect feed of round wood to the saw blade can lead to lateral pressure onto the saw blade, which causes tooth damage due to deflection of the blade. (In extreme cases the tooth can cut into the enclosure of the saw.) The correct feed of the wood to the saw blade needs to be checked (e.g. examine cross conveyors).

  • The TKM Spring-Tooth-Saw has to be dismantled, levelled and strained; damaged tooth can be changed individually in a built-in state.
  • A straight-set chop saw needs to be dismantled and completely revised (straightening, tensioning, grinding, tooth setting).
