Beveled / Bias Cut
Manufacturers looking to improve their productivity can optimize this part of the production process.
TKM HELPS | Prevent waste products:
- Examine the knifes’ sharpness! Regrinding is the key component in making sure the blade is sharp enough to make a straight, natural path through the roll.
- Length of the bevel /cutting edge should be the same on both sides: This is especially important for products with a high density. If the blade is sharp with even bevels on the front and the back of the blade this will help guide the blade and allow the knife to not be affected by lateral forces during the cut.
- For products with a very high density the TKM Supr-Slik 41+ lubricant will help cool the blade, keep glue and other contaminants off the bevel and the sides of the blade allowing the CBN stones to properly sharpen the edge of the blade.
