Increased frequency of tool change

Customer needs to change the knife more frequently.

Possible reasons:

1. 1. Quality of logs changed (e.g. smaller logs, different sourcing of logs, more knots in the logs, not fresh wood,…)
   2. Insufficient log preparation (e.g. debarking or cooking)
   3. Re-grinding process insufficient
   4. Wrong settings of the peeling or slicing machine (speed, cutting-gap,…)

To counteract these problems, we recommend:

ad 1) Ask TKM for knife quality recommendation
ad 2) Careful log preparation is necessary (debarking, stones or metal inclusions)
ad 3) Make sure to follow TKM grinding recommendations
ad 4) Make sure to follow OEM´s instructions
