Misalignment on the cutting surface during profiling

Misalignment on the cutting surface during profiling

A misalignment on the stem’s long side is noticeable after the profiling.

  • This error occurs, if the saws on both shafts (lying on top of each other) don’t align (out of plumb).
Solution: dismantlement of the shafts and adjustment of set-up
  • Blade thickness is variously thick
Solution: re-measurement of the blades – if necessary, replacement
  • stencil rings (spacers) have different thicknesses and/or are dirty/soiled
Solution: re-measurement of the blades -  if necessary, replacement
  • Setting of the machine (top and bottom shaft)
Solution: A lower cutting height by tendency a 50/50 distribution of the top and bottom saws’ cutting depth. At a higher/bigger cutting height (from about 200mm or more) the saw, which is rotating against the cutting direction, should have a cutting depth from about less than 50%.
  • Shaft does not have a 90° angle to the cutting direction (might have been caused by surge, or by a previous crash)
Solution: Adjustment of the shaft (if necessary, OEM)
  • Axial bearing play oft the shaft is too large
Solution: Adjustment of the shaft (if necessary, OEM)
