Unclean cut
The cutting surface manifests/displays breakouts at the bottom of the prism.
This flaw/error may occur, if:
- the canter/ flaker has broken out at the cutting edge
Solution: knife needs to be dismantled and re-grinded/ replaced - the knife is not correctly stationed (dirt, adjustment screw)
Solution: dismantle and reposition knife – pay attention to a clean installation area, as well as adjusting the length of the adjustment screw
